The founders of google are Larry Page and Sergey Brin. It was started in 1996-97 in Stanford University when both of them were students there. Royal Dutch B (RDSB) – Buy

Two months up, one month down. Another two months up?

The sharp rally earlier this month in Royal Dutch B tell us that the medium-term uptrend is not yet over. Support has emerged at 1900p, just above the 150-day moving average. More importantly, the stock crossed above 2000p – usually a technical barrier – like walk a park. This means that supply is fairly thin above. Also, we note the stock’s potential for relative outperformance.

Taken together, we would overweight the stock over the near term in preparation for a new leg up. We target 2150p, stop at 1950p here at JN Financial.

Vodafone (VOD) – Potential buy

Like Shell, after a month of consolidating from 180p, Vodafone may be attempting to reassert the uptrend once more. At JN financial we have been discussing it and its not quite ripe.

On the price chart, we see support at 160p. On the relative chart, we see support at the prior reaction lows. Therefore, a short-term long bet may be opened to bet on the instrument testing the recent highs. Already, BT is leading the way up. So, Vodafone may follow.

We would place the stop near the November lows initially, raising it to 164p as soon as the stock moves up.

What Is A Preferred Stock List?

Preferred stock list refers to the type of stock that is known to pay a set rate of dividend to its holders before the regular stock holders have got their share. This preference over other stock holders is what gives these securities their name. The one major limitation with them is that they carry no voting rights and as such, the holders have no say over how the company is run.

The preferred Stocks are categorized into many types, which are defined by their own unique characteristics. They also have their own share of advantages and disadvantages. Cumulative participating stocks pile all unpaid dividends and pays it out before the common stocks have got their share. They also participate in any additional company profit share that may arise or may be realized in the course of operation.

Non-Cumulative Participating Preferred Stocks are not very much different from the cumulative ones, only that they do not accumulate dividends. This means that if shareholders miss out on some dividends, they cannot expect to get them together with the next dividends that will be declared. Any unpaid dividends are simply lost. This category is also not entitled to a share in any profits.

Convertible preferred Stock is that category of shares which, as the name suggests, can be converted into a certain number of common stock shares.  The adjustable rate preferred stock is a category that holds varying interest rates. The dividends are payable according to the prevailing interest rates and as such may earn more or less depending on market conditions. It is advisable for an investor to familiarize himself with all these factors so that he can make an informed decision.

I would like to access a list of attributes and symbols (Books Value, B4 Change, C1 etc) that I can use to interface with the stock screener programmaticaly from Excel.

Ok go to the company homepage, on yahoo finance, and you will find all the statistics that you need there. The past records of the company will be under the ‘company information’ tab. I would post example links but my internet is giving me fits atm
