Day Trading Timeframes

Day Trading 101: when you begin trading, you’ll need a strategy. And part of that strategy will include the timeframe that you use for your trades. Obviously, for day trading, your timeframe will be less than one day.

Popular intraday timeframes are 60-minute, 30-minute, 15-minute, 10-minute, 5-minute, 3-minute, and 1-minute.

When you select a smaller timeframe (less than 60 minutes), usually your average profit per trade is relatively low. On the other hand, you get more trading opportunities. When trading on a larger timeframe, your average profit per trade will be bigger, but you’ll have fewer trading opportunities.

Smaller timeframes mean smaller profits, but usually smaller risk, too. When you’re starting with a small trading account, you might want to select a small timeframe to make sure that you’re not over-leveraging your account.

However, when selecting a very small timeframe like 1-minute, 3-minute, or 5-minute, you may experience a lot of “noise” that is cause by hedge funds, by scalpers, and by automated trading.

You might think that you see an emerging trend just to realize that it was only a short manipulated move and that the trend is over as soon as you enter the market.

That’s why I recommend using 15-minute charts. This timeframe is small enough for you to capture the nice intraday moves, but it’s big enough to eliminate the noise in the market and correctly displays the “true trends.”

When developing a Trading Strategy, you should always experiment with different timeframes. A trading strategy that doesn’t work on a small timeframe might work on a larger timeframe and vice versa.

Start developing your trading strategy using 15-minute charts, and if you’re unhappy with the results, change the timeframe first before changing the entry or exit rules.

Cancun Real Estate – The Ideal Beachfront Retirement

How imagine your retirement? Consider the following list of features offered by Cancun real estate; if they are similar to what you imagined, you might want to consider a Cancun retirement.

Beautiful Beaches. In fact, most people who have seen beaches around the world say that the ones in Cancun and the surrounding area are, hands-down, the most beautiful, and the most comfortable for walking on. The turquoise water is warm, and excellent for either walking along the shore, or going for a swim.

Warm Weather. If you are like most people heading into retirement, you’ve probably put up with a few too many cold winters already. How is an average range of 70-80 degrees for winter weather? Sure, now and then a cold winter night might go down to about 65 or so; the locals think this is freezing, and will get out their winter jackets. The summer is a little warmer with an average range of 80-90 degrees, with a few of the hottest days getting up around 100.

Excellent property choices. Mexico condos for sale can be found directly on the beachfront for very accessible prices. Luxury is definitely available and at a fraction of the price that luxury condos would cost in the U.S., especially on the beachfront. Homes are also for sale in villa developments in the Hotel Zone, as well as homes and condos in the downtown area; these are only a little farther from the beach, but walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and just about everything else.

Excellent Shopping. Shopping in Cancun covers just about all the options; small Mexican markets, big international stores, upscale boutiques, modern malls, and many, many specialty shops. Some tour providers have actually started selling “shopping vacations” to Cancun because of the many excellent stores available here.

Golf Galore. Cancun’s Hotel Zone has 3 golf courses to enjoy, and the beachfront communities stretching south of Cancun, known as the “Riviera Maya” offer 8 more professional courses, with more on the way.

Boating. 4 full service marinas in the area allow yacht lovers to own and enjoy their boat comfortably. 2 of these marinas included condo developments directly on the marina font, so owners can moor their yacht virtually at their doorstep. These same communities are gated, with shopping, restaurants and a number of services.

Perhaps you never imagined a retirement with all of these items? Of course there are even more, with many historical sites to visit nearby … But there’s no need to imagine. It’s better to buy real estate in Cancun and make this retirement your reality!

Best Stock Picking Software

The robot named Marl is a stock Trading robot run by the best Stock Picking software in use today. As the old saying reminds us, “the proof of the pudding is in the tasting.” In this case, the proof is experiencing the sweet taste of financial success using the best stock picking software ever built. Marl the robot is the accomplishment of a very wise, rich computer expert. His friend, another brilliant computer expert understands the exactitude required, to build an exploratory database, a strong framework and bug free software. He could say in good conscience the robot, Marl has the best stock picking software ever built.

Get Best Penny Stock Pick Program to help you to make profit!

Michael and Carl developed a plan and created a robot, capable of running a stock picking software system. They named their private robot Marl, the first and last letters of Michael’s name and the middle letters of Carl’s name. They worked out a contractual agreement and before long Marl passed his first official test gathering dynamic stock content. Experienced as a creator of a stock picking robot for a billion dollar stock company, Michael was a rich young man. When he and Carl who developed the stock picking software, completed their task, they possessed an excellent product, which proves itself everyday.

The best stock picking software lives in Marl, the robot with his ever-evolving database. The real brains behind Marl the Bot, are his builders who built this robot to gather dynamic stock content and pick Stocks. Marl is a software programming, system, which continues to expand and grow as long as the robot continues to work. The longer the robot is in action, the larger the database becomes and the better it becomes as a tool for guiding humans toward sound stock selection choices.

The story of Marl reminds me of the story of Pinocchio and the shoemaker. The purpose of a Stock Trading Robot is to guide Stock Buying selections based on statistical data. The data comes from watching the ebb and flow of Stock Price Patterns. Marl designs Chart Patterns from the Price Patterns gathered by the software and provides data for analysis. Both this Stock Trader Robot and the Stock Traders Michael and Carl successfully increase the bottom line in stock fund accounts.

The requirement robots like Marl and other Stock Trading Robots modeled after him is to have access to the best stock picking software available. The robots rapidly detect and record the Price Patterns found by watching, gathering, and analyzing the calm seas as well as the rising and falling waves of stock trading. Once the robot gathers Stock Prices information, it designs Chart Patterns for analysis and final decisions related to stock trading. Marl the Stock Trading Robot gathers information and through analysis offers stock picks, which thus far have proven successful stock picks.

The smooth Chart Pattern stocks are any stocks yielding, a sound risk/reward balance. These stocks Marl places on a “Watch List”, a very familiar term in the stock trading business, which means Watch Me, good things are about to happen. Marl is so smart he is watching hundreds of stock patterns identifying the fall and rise of stock prices, in thousands of circumstances. Marl possesses the best stock picking software, which never stops growing in knowledge. Humans begin to loose interest as they age and stop actively seeking learning, but not so Marl, a real Stock Trading Robotic genius.

Stock picks when Bullish on dollar?

What are the stocks that will benefit the most from the dollar getting stronger in the next 5 years?

This is a novel question. Most people are interested in the opposite. Assuming that the dollar were to become a stronger currency during the next 5 years, it stands to reason that companies importing to the U S will benefit greatly. Canon would be one-CAJ. The Indian info-tech companies would be another. Infosys, Wipro, Satyam. Perhaps the Chinese solar companies another. Trina Solar, Suntech Power. And maybe Vesta Wind Systems of Denmark.

Actually, I sort of expect these to do well regardless of how the dollar does, but a stronger dollar should certainly benefit all.

Chinese Stock Research: Paving Way towards an Informed Investment

The Chinese companies are thriving day by day and have carved a niche for themselves in the international Stock Market. The world has acknowledged the ever growing Chinese companies and they have even spread their wings across the globe with their branches located in many countries. A large number of traditional state-owned business entities in China went through the process of restructuring and initial public offerings were initiated in the Chinese stock exchanges. With the availability of huge amount of cash flow, the Chinese companies were able to upgrade and enhance their entire industry structural base and hence traded higher-end merchandises.

With these high end changes which helped the Chinese industries to gain popularity and become a success world over, the investors and business organizations have become highly interested in investing in the Chinese companies which can help them gain huge amount of profits in a limited span of time. The affirmative opinions and beliefs of the stockbrokers and the Stock Investors is the naturalistic prediction for feasible developments in various sectors, especially the telecom, finance, natural resources, and environment associated companies. With the effective and viable alterations and growth in the Chinese industry, the approaching years are anticipated to highly enhance the export values, credibility and the stock prices of the Chinese companies. Stock investors have already forecasted the future of the Chinese companies and nowadays their stocks are in high demand not only in the American market but also throughout the world.

But if you desire to invest in the Chinese companies to get a portion of the profit, it’s imperative that you have a clear idea about the list of Chinese stocks in NASDAQ and which companies are carving a niche for themselves and which are still struggling through the intense competition. You cannot just randomly invest in any company and risk your hard earned money. You must have a clear idea about their profile, their profits, clients, future prospects, any mergers or acquisitions and so on.

What you actually need is the Chinese stock reports which will help you get the clear picture about the ongoing scenario and which company offers the best prospect and which is the most viable option to choose. Nowadays with the availability of the information at your fingertips through reputed websites, you can easily and conveniently acquire the latest reports of the Chinese stock research which will assist you in affirming your decisions and paving way to get hefty sum of money in your bank account through safe and informed investment!

What is the best way to do research on companies before buying their stocks?

I am trying to do some research about companies that are incorporated in the U.S. but outsourced to countries like China.
Any ideas? I prefer websites that give some free info about companies…

Unless your are a certified financial planner or skilled at Stock Analysis it is not recommended to do your own research for buying individual stocks. Firms like Fidelity and LPL have drones of people who solely do research on every investment out there, if you have money to invest then pay someone to manage it for you. The 1% your pay for an expert to manage your funds is well worth the time you’d have to put in to research and manage stock fluctuations.

I say this because I attended an ivy league institution for grad school. Finance and Econ were both dreaded courses that required students to do manual stock analysis on a variety of Fortune 100 firms. If you’re a glutton for punishment, good luck! You can use Morningstar.com, Yahoo Finance. If you’re a student then you’ll have access to a variety of industry S&P reports. Your best bet will be going to the individual company websites and reading the “investor relations” tab as well as asking for a packet from the company. You’ll have to read up on all the new headlines/new releases on the companies so you understand the mission, vision, strategic plans, any M&A activity or R&D investments that may influence you to believe the company is headed in the right direction based on its management.

Trust me, get someone to manage your funds. Even in the market downturn such as last year, a good money manager can score you a 22% return.

Some Basic Tips For Stock Trading

You have always wanted to invest in the Stock Market, but the problem has always been what to buy and when to buy? Well here are a few tips that can help you trade in Stocks much better.

Firstly it is important you decide what your investment limit is. A limit will help you make the choice of stock. Then you must also decide on your period of investment. You can either go in for a long term investment or a short term one. The choice of shares will also depend on the duration you wish to hold the shares for.

As an investor, who is Investing for the first time you must go through all the guidelines and rules. It is important that you know the rules properly. Knowing the rules thoroughly would help you stay out of problems. Another important thing to have is a bank account. You also be registered with the trading authority before you commence the buying and selling of shares.

Making decisions holds the key to make large profits in the stock exchange. One must be fully aware of the prices, the global cues and also the market expectations. Keep an eye on the performance of the company you want to invest in for a certain period before picking up the stock. Analyse the scope of growth and also the company’s reputation in the exchange and in the market.

Another way you can do easy transaction is to get a trading window on your PC at home. This would allow you buy and sell whenever you like. The trading window also provides you the latest prices and the trends in the market. So what is the wait for, just get some money together go out there and pick up a few stocks! You never know when you strike gold.

Tips on profiting in Day Trading in The Stock Market?

I’ve gone through tutorials online about how to make money in the stock market due to the small rises and falls throughout the day in stock prices. All these tutorials mention the same thing: to sell when the stock goes up slightly. This is good advice because they always seem to go back down and up that same small amount in the shorter term. However, they fail to mention one major thing. That is the comissions and trade costs. My brokerage account charges $7 for every purchase and every sell, plus more for comissions.. right off the principal if I don’t make enough to cover all that! This makes me really wonder how day Traders make money, I mean it seems almost impossible.

Just don’t do it. Don’t waste time studying something experienced people tell you not to do. You will lose your money as everyone else does that has taken this path. Don’t point to the one guy out of 200 that has been successful due to luck mostly. Experienced investors are knowledgeable people who have studied diligently or have learned through personal costly choices along the way. If day trading was the way to go don’t you think the smart people would be doing it. Don’t be foolish. Listen and be thankful for people who know better than you and want to help you. I was a Day Trader myself many many years ago. I paid dearly. I am not alone. It’s easy to figure how much you make if you buy a block of stock and it goes up a little and you sell for profit. The problem is every purchase will not result in an upturn in price. If it goes down how long are you going to hold and how much are you going to lose. Think of trades as wins and losses. Remember once you lose you need more than one win to even break even. Now the odds are against you. And you have less capital to make your next wager if you will. In investing, like gambling, you want to reduce the odds against yourself. Day trading does the opposite of that.

Individuals love Investing to generate income, and they love almost the whole lot regarding the markets in specific. But several investors become confused and they don’t truly make out well what to look at for at instance it comes to being attentive at Stock Market.

All right, in case you flip to the news daily evening they’re going to update you just concerning the performance of Dow Jones Industrial Average of day, even if it was upward or downward, also that doesn’t actually provide you with the entire picture of the how The Stock Market is functioning on that precise day.

On this short article you can come to learn about another things which you should watch over in addition to Dow Jones index may provide you with a broader depiction of the what an markets are doing on any particular day.

Hence the first thing to look at in addition to the DOW would be the S&P 500. S&P 500 is the index fund consists of the five hundred highest stocks which were selected by eminent individuals over at Standard & Poors. When individuals discuss a “Stock Market” over and over again they may be involving the S&P 500. It will be the reasonably good indicator of what the stock market is performing mainly. Additionally, usually evening reports demonstrates as well as radio news may speak regarding the index every night.

At that time you need to remember of the TRIN, that’s the trading index, since it tries to estimate the quantity of trading (volume) which was made on the any particular day. As well as see in case if TRIN goes from over 1.20 to below 0.70 throughout any day, which normally exhibits the stock market have turned Optimistic. Alternatively, if ever the TRIN goes from under 0.70 around 1.2 on that case the stock market has turned Bearish. The TRIN of the 1.0 exhibit the market was generally steady for day.

Subsequently you might have considered trying to observe an action on the Over-The-Counter stock market, specifically stock market of the lightly traded very small firms. If it outpaces the whole stock market, that might be an indication of Bull market. Similarly just in case its amount is the lots lower than the large stock market that can be a symbol of the Bear market.

In addition always keep the watch over an ancient Quotron change since it issues the daily percentage variation for all of the stocks traded at NYSE by it’s QCHA index and each shares at American Stock Exchange by it’s QACH index. A lot of Mutual Funds watch more to these indexes, considerably more when compared to they are doing to Dow Jones index.

Then, obviously you are typically will need to keep a watch regarding the common financial reports of the day. There are numerous strategies to do that, although what you can accomplish is generally to read 2 significant news papers the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times Newspapers every day. The Financial Times can be the newspaper from London, however they supply every day to primary cities in the USA & every day or alternate day through postal dispatch outer of most important cities.

Both the papers are outstanding resources for remaining updated in most of the fiscal news of day. An emergence of the Internet you will discover still best ways to stay up to date on the economic data.

Because of that, you’ve number of things to watch every day to continue abreast of the stock market as well as stay up to date to secure your investments.

I suggest you to spend Ten Minutes in a week, to get useful and actionable Stock Market Information for building wealth and making you richer and most successful investor.
Day Trading is a fast paced world and where you can make or lose a fortune over the course of an afternoon. Who couldn’t use a little help? Here is a review of the best Stock Market Program for day trading today.

Day Trading Robot is a Stock Picker system. What this means is that it finds profitable Stock Picks and trends so that you can trade accordingly without carrying out the market research process yourself and instead simply enact the trades which the program recommends for you.

How it works specifically is that it relies heavily on the market’s tendency to move and evolve in patterns and cyclical shifts. It gathers and uses large constructed databases of past market data then applies that information to current, real time market data to identify and pick out similarities to further investigate. Eventually these leads to finding what the program considers or labels as being a high probability trading opp. From there it simply notifies you so that again all you’ve got to do is trade accordingly.

One good thing about using a program such as this is that it eliminates emotions and other harmful outside factors from your trades. Also, because it does all of the work, newbie Traders as well as the more casual and busy traders out there who do not have the time to devote to the market themselves can make money from these programs in their spare time.

In getting back to why I started labeling Day Trading Robot as the Best Stock market program out there these days, this is because of how it operates. Day Trading Robot only goes after and targets Penny Stocks. This matters because penny stocks, given their cheaper prices, are known for wildly fluctuating and quickly doubling or tripling in value, enabling you to make a great deal of money in a small period of time, that is if you can identify them.

To give you an example I will call on my very first stock generated for me by this program. I received a pick immediately after getting the program which was valued at 15 cents on a Sunday. I invested and picked up about 1000 shares. I logged out and checked back a day from then late on Monday to find that that particular stock had jumped over the course of that day to 31 cents, more than doubling my investment. I continued to watch that stock closely from there on as it continued to quickly climb and top off briefly at 48 cents for a few moments before dropping back down again. By the time I got out I had tripled my investment just about.

I won’t lie and say that every pick which I have received from this program has tripled in value, but I have continued to receive valuable money making picks once a week every week and made a great deal of money in my spare time. This is why I call this the best stock market program out there today which I would recommend to anyone looking to make some real money in The Stock Market but maybe who doesn’t have the time or experience to make it on their own.

Can someone help me understand the stock market?

Ok, so the market has been going down the past few weeks.

1) Does this mean that people are selling off their stocks?
2) Why would selling your stocks make the market fall?
3) If I own a stock, and then someone else who owns the same stock decides to sell, why does this cause my stock to go down in value?

Sorry if these questions seem stupid but I’ve just started learning about the market.

The above people are close, but I am a financial economist and maybe I can help.

1) To sell something there has to be a buyer also, so if people are “selling off stocks,” there is another group “buying up stocks.”

2) If you want to sell more than a buyer wants to buy then you will drop the price until a buyer cannot resist the trade. So by selling you can push the price down depending on how badly you want to sell and the other person wants to buy.

3)If IBM’s share priced crashed today to one penny per share it would still have the same intrinsic value it had prior to the crash, but you couldn’t sell it for that price. If people were only willing to pay one cent per hundred shares then that is the best price you can get even if it is worth $50 per share. It is rather like the real estate market, if everyone in your neighborhood suddenly got job offers elsewhere and put up for sale signs, even though you were not selling your home your home would be worth less if you did try and sell because there are a lot of motivated sellers for a given number of buyers.

Stock prices fall if the number of shares offered for sale increases while the cash available to buy remains the same. Likewise a decrease in cash available to buy while number offered remains constant will also cause a fall. If the cash falls and the number offered increases you could get a big fall.

Like your house, your stocks are only worth less if you actually sell them and get the lower price. Stocks are worth their intrinsic value. If you paid more than their intrinsic value you will eventually have to lose money. If you paid less than their intrinsic value you should not only make the fair return, but also extra money as people realize the Stock Price was too low in error.

I think what is happening is that now that the dollar is worth less, substantially less, than it was six months ago, foreign holders of US assets are taking their money back by selling their US assets. The run up of the dollar under the Clinton Administration led to low prices across the board for Americans and virtuous growth factors. It is gone now. Eight years of Georgie and we are beginning to slide into a deep morass. It is avoidable, but the next President, whoever he or she is, will probably have to lose the re-election to fix the problems because it has been pandering to the public which has gotten us into this pickle. This President has over spent the nation’s resources.

Will the stock market continue to fall? No one knows. I am invested in the market, but I am invested very carefully. I would not consider most stocks because the price for them is too high, but there are wonderful inexpensive stocks out there.

So here we sit on November 1st, 2008, having lived through one of the worst stock market collapses in history and definitely the biggest Wall Street bailout in the history of the financial system. Will the Governments $700 billion bailout work?

The Stock Market began its decline in mid-September just after the government decided that Lehman Brothers wasn’t worth bailing out. They didn’t make that mistake again. By the end of September the market had seen a record making one day decline of 777 points. Most on Wall Street thought that was the day of capitulation, the day with huge volume that anyone who wanted out of the market was now out and the market could begin its recovery. No one expected what was about to come.

By October 10th the Dow hit an intraday bottom of 7,882.52 points, closing just above 8,400. Then on Monday a record rally of over 900 points excited investors that the end of the decline may have occurred. But then the decline began again and the Dow eventually would hit a closing low of 8,175.77. Since that low the market has rallied to over 9,000, but are the declines over or just taking a breather and how long will the breather last?

Everyone is asking ‘Will the Governments $700 billion dollar bailout work?’ And how about the actions of the Federal Reserve? The idea behind the bailout and the Fed’s actions of lowering the Fed Funds rate to 1% is to stimulate lending. That is, stimulate the lending that occurs between banks.

So far, it is not working. And what if it does? Will banks lending money to each other stimulate the economy? Doesn’t the consumer need to begin borrowing again? Bank rules for borrowing have tightened considerably and well they should. But will consumers begin borrowing again?

For 7.5 million homeowners who have large mortgages and have tapped into the equity lines of credit on their homes, borrowing is out of the question. You see their homes are now worth less than the mortgages they have on them. Many of these people will just walk away from their homes, further increasing the supply of housing and pushing back the end of the housing slump.

But here is the real kicker. The Fed is loaning banks money for 1% – and may go even lower at their next meeting. The Treasury has given the largest banks $250 billion – hard cold cash in exchange for an equity position and the banks still aren’t lending.

On top of that, it’s the consumer that really needs to begin borrowing to jump start the economy, but mortgage interest rates to the consumer are higher today than they were 1 year ago and higher today than they were 1 month ago. So, I ask again, will consumers begin borrowing again? I’m not seeing the incentive.

Learn how to take advantage of the opportunities that present themselves in these volatile times. Learn important Stock Market Terms and discover how to spot trends and develop short and long term strategies.

How, in simple terms, would a stock market “crash”?

What causes the stock market to fail is a mass sell off of Stocks across the board. Not just one company’s stocks all the different companies’ stocks because the investor are scared the value of the stocks with drop real low in value.

In simpler terms. stocks are property people who own stocks in a company own part of the company. A lot of people called investors own stocks in more than one company. The big investors such as retirement funds own stocks in a lot of stocks in a lot of companies.

For some reason they all get scared about the value of their stocks all that the same time and rush to sell them. When that happens the value of the stocks fall dastically from what they were worth. That is a crash!
Example in one crash the value of GM stock flew from $55 to less that $5 dollars. General Electric’s stock fell from $64 dollars to less than ten dollars. before they could close the market and stop the sell off.

It is like everybody in the country getting scared that the value of their house is going down too much and every body in the country tries to sell their houses at the same time. If that happens houses would be worth to next to nothing. Houses worth 1,000,000 dollars the day before would be worth less than 100,000 dollars.

Crashes rarely happen nodays because if it starts happening they will close the stock market to prevent it.

Hope that helps you.

What is the secret of Roger Montgomery’s A1 Montgomery Quality Rating?

I have been Trading options online buying the Qs (QQQQ) for sometime and here is my trade plan. Trading the Qs is a good way to increase your portfolio without a large outlay of capital and can be traded as a Day Trade (1 day) or swing trade (2-5 days). You can make longer trades but you need to be careful due to market volatility.

Entry

o	Determine the direction of the trend. Is it up or is it down?

o	Buy calls if trending up, or buy puts if trending down.

o	Best time to enter is after a 1-2 day pull back.

o	Try to buy at least 20 contracts. (10 or less will work, but your return is much less.)

o	If the Nasdaq has had a big pull back after initial entry, I will add to my position. Wait until the momentum has returned to the original trend direction before adding any more. You do not want to be caught in a market reversal.

Exit

o	On entry I always set my limit to 50 cents. After I am profitable by 15 cents, if the market is not moving or is pulling back, I will consider exiting.

o	I will use a stop of 50% of entry price. Try to get out much sooner though, watch the charts. They will usually tell you.

Which Option

o	Expiration–I used to trade with at least 20 days till expiration. I now trade current month + 1. Other words, if you are in the month of June, the earliest month I would take for expiration would be July.

o	Delta–I want to see a delta between 70 and 95 cents. Anything higher than 95 and you are just throwing money away. Lower than.70 and the Qs have to make a bigger movement before your limit is reached. You can also lower the limit or go for a longer duration.

o	Price–I want my ask price to be under $5.00.

o	Open Interest–I look for an option that has the highest open interest under 5.00.

I have been buying options online trading the Qs and it has been one of my biggest money makers. I started off buying much smaller positions until the account grew big enough to support the larger trades. Overtime I found the above seemed to work best for me. One word of caution, if a trade starts going against you, GET OUT OF IT. Last year I didn’t, and took a big hit. Even with the hit I took last year (lost my discipline) I still trade the Qs every day and expect to continue.
